At Playymate, we respect your privacy and provide you with control over your personal data. This policy explains how you can request deletion of your account and associated data.
By using Playymate, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.
1. Your right to delete data
You have the right to request deletion of:
- Your Playymate account.
- Personal information (name, email, phone number).
- Profile details and preferences.
- Uploaded content (photos, posts, activity data).
- Booking history (subject to legal limitations).
You can request deletion at any time.
2. How to request account deletion
You can request deletion through:
A. In-App Method (Recommended)
- Open Playymate app.
- Go to Profile / Settings.
- Select “Delete Account”.
- Confirm your request.
B. Email Request
Send an email to: support@playymate.com
Include:
- Registered email or phone number.
- Account name.
- Reason (optional).
We may request verification before processing your request.
3. Data deletion process
Once your request is verified:
- Your account will be deactivated immediately.
- Personal data will be permanently deleted within 7-15 business days.
- Associated profile information will be removed.
- Access to your account will be revoked.
4. Data that may be retained
Some data may be retained for legal, security, or operational purposes:
- Transaction and payment records.
- Invoice and tax-related data.
- Fraud prevention and security logs.
- Dispute resolution records.
- Legal compliance requirements.
Such data will not be used for marketing or user-facing purposes.
5. Third-party data
If your data has been shared with partners (such as venues, coaches, or payment providers) for booking purposes:
- Those parties may retain data as per their own legal obligations.
- Playymate is not responsible for third-party data retention policies.
6. Reversal of deletion
Once deletion is completed:
- Your account cannot be restored.
- Deleted data cannot be recovered.
- You will need to create a new account if you wish to use Playymate again.
7. Pending bookings or transactions
Before requesting deletion:
- Complete or cancel all active bookings.
- Resolve any pending payments or refunds.
Playymate may delay deletion until such matters are resolved.
8. Misuse or fraud prevention
If an account is involved in:
- Fraud.
- Abuse.
- Policy violations.
Playymate may retain relevant data for investigation and compliance purposes.
9. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to securely delete or anonymize your data after your request is processed.
10. Policy updates
We may update this policy from time to time. Updates will be posted with a revised “Last Updated” date.
